Post Listing Update: This RSY did not get any interest at the BIN of $15,000.

Here’s something I’ve never heard of before – the Japanese manufacturer RSY. The seller says he’s “been able to determine this is the only example of the RSY known to exist.” I don’t know how someone goes about proving that, but it sure is a rare find.

RSY A54 - Logo

This bike (VIN: A543555) uses a 200cc engine made by Kawasaki back when they were Kawasaki Aircraft Industries and before they were building motorcycles. It was acquired from the estate of the original owner, who got the bike in the Japan and then brought it to the US and left it in his basement. The seller says it has “all the requirements” to run, but he’s never tried to start it himself. Check out that Mercedes-Benz-ish logo!

RSY A54 - Pedestrian Slicer

Any mention of the RSY you can find online will feature this motorcycle, including this link on Ed Youngblood’s Moto History, which feature the seller and his bike at the annual Davenport meet. Turns out the seller’s willing to bring it Davenport again this year, though because the decals are water based and he doesn’t have covered transportation, he can’t take it if it’s raining!
