Mustang Motorcycle was a division of Gladden Products. They started developing motorcycles during WWII and shortly after bought Busy Bee Company to guarantee the supply of motors for their motorcycle division. The 1947 Mustang Model 2 is said to be the first motorcycle manufactured in the US with a telescopic front fork. The Model 2 was the basis for almost the entire run of Mustangs which ceased production in 1965.

The ’55 Stallion featured a 319CC (19.48 CID) air cooled single cylinder side valve motor that made a listed 10.5 HP. A 4 speed Burman transmission, hardtail rear and telescopic front with 12 inch wheels made a very rideable product. Lots of chrome and two tone paint completed the Stallion.

This Mustang is located in Seguin, TX and is listed as a ‘very little time’ scooter. The frame identification tag clearly shows a Model 8 designation (Stallion) but the description says ‘it revs out good in all three gears’ (Pony). The bike wears a plate as National Show Winner (above photo). I really believe it to be a Stallion variant. The bike is available in Seguin, Texas with a BIN of $7,500
