1958 BMW R69

Reader Bill K sent over this interesting R69, plus he added some great points that I’m going to include later on.

This example was restored by Bob’s Motorcycle World, a build that included 700cc Bligh pistons, a Ed Korn 12V kit, Progressive springs, race exhaust, and more. Thanks to the displacement bump, this bike now puts out 69 horsepower. The seller notes that the R69 is much more rare than the R69S that everyone usually thinks of – production numbers of 2,819 vs. 11,417, respectively.

Find this BMW R69 for sale here on Craigslist in Des Plaines, Illinois for $19,000.
