1958 Triumph Twenty-One

In England, Standard by Abhi1 Comment

The first of Triumph’s unit-construction motorcycles, the Twenty-One was launched in 1957. Two years later it was renamed the 3TA. Whatever it’s called, this bike did not get much love in America, as riders here didn’t care for the looks of the ‘bathtub’ rear bodywork.

You’ll note that the bathtub fairing has Twenty One written out on it – there are apparently two reasons for that. This bike came out on Triumph’s 21st anniversary (which is an odd year to celebrate) and the engine displaced 21 cubic inches (about 350cc). This bike has new points and a recent tune up and it comes with the original tail light.
