“Like a new 1959 car . . long, low, sleek . . smart 2-tone colors”
{Quotes from the 1959 Sears Catalog Advertisement page 1066}

The 1960 Allstate Jetsweep was a rebadged Cushman 722 Pacemaker offered between 1957 and 1960. Sears and Cushman had a long term relationship that saw tens of thousands of Cushman scooters sold under the Allstate banner.

The original Jetsweep had a “certified under 5 HP motor” to comply with licensing requirements in various states where under 5 HP did not require an endorsement. “Smooth-riding leading link front suspension with sturdy coil springs” were a part of the package. “Clutch: automatic (no gear shifting)” “Automotive type foot brake on rear wheel is two shoe cam operated;” “No mixing of oil and gas. Gas tank holds up to two gallons (up to 150 miles per filling)”

This particular 1960 Allstate Jetsweep (VIN # 083984) is located in Excelsior, Minnesota and has been entirely rebuilt internally (including an 8 HP Husky motor) and left entirely original on the surface. It does include the optional speedometer ($17.95 from the ‘59 catalog) and original paperwork plus receipts for the rebuild work. The bike is currently bid at $2,250.00 with reserve not met
