1965 Honda Dream 305

I actually owned one of these (a ‘63) back in the day. Marketed as a ‘Tourer’ it was sorta slow and clunky but it had electric start and started every time. The ‘Dream’ was model CA77 and was nowhere near as sexy as stablemates CB77 (Supersport) and the CL77 (Scrambler).

The CA77 was considered a very well equipped motorcycle with features that included electric start, turn signal indicators, wet sump parallel twin motor with a 360 degree crankshaft. Meant that both pistons went up and down at the same time and fired every other time making it a very smooth 4 stroke motor.

The ‘65 Dream featured a 305 cc single Overhead Cam motor which claimed 23 HP and a top speed of 86 MPH. The motor was to develop into a Honda tradition. Weighed in at a robust 350 LBS with a 2.5 gallon gas tank and reported 50 to 70 MPG. Brakes were single shoe drum units and considered fair at the time.

This particular bike is advertised as a 7,107 mile restored example and looks to be very clean. You will note that the bike does NOT have turn signals, they were optional equipment and this bike does not have them. This Dream is at the Harley Davidson dealer in Tucson, AZ. Price is listed at a fairly steep $4,995 and you can get all the information right here on Cycle Trader.
