1966 BMW with VW Motor and Sidecar

In 3 Wheels, Custom, Germany by AbhiLeave a Comment

It’s a classic BMW…with a sidecar…and a built 1,835cc Volkswagen motor. Check out how far the carbs and air filters stick out!

The engine, clutch, cables, tires, and lights are all said to be new, and thanks to the motor this hack is said to be able to cruise at freeway speeds with no problem.

This bike (VIN: 655102) also has an extra large oil cooler, new wiring, and some spares. The seller suggests that the rig was built in Los Angeles, “most likely from Von Dutch or Ed Roth or his small circle of friends”, but I’m going to assume that’s made up until I see any sort of proof. No matter who built it, it’s definitely different. But would you ride it?
