Post Listing Update: This CB160 did not meet reserve despite 44 bids up to $2,300 on eBay.

One of the truly iconic small-displacement Japanese bikes, the Honda CB160 is a small but well-built street bike that has even inspired model-specific racing. This example has been partially restored and it’s ready for you to show, ride, or if you’re feeling frisky…race!

The 161cc parallel twin engine produced 16 horsepower, which was good for a top speed of 68 miles per hour. It weighs just 290 pounds and was capable of a miserly 75 miles per gallon. Riders enjoyed this bike because Honda incorporated technology from bigger bikes like the tubular frame, single-overhead cam, and more. For $530, you’d get an engine that could hit 10,000 rpm, and a bike good enough to be called a baby Superhawk by Cycle World.

This example (VIN: B1601038530) has just 3,599 miles. The red was repainted but is aging and the seller notes that “this is not a concourse restoration” and that it combines “preservation, light restoration, and maintenance.” Everything is said to work and many parts like the tires and battery are just about new.
