1968 Aermacchi CRTT 250

In Italy, Race by AbhiLeave a Comment

Aermacchi was originally called Aeronautica Macchi and formed to create seaplanes. Motorcycles entered the picture after World War II, and the Americans that are familiar with the company usually know it because HD bought 50% of the company in 1960 to get access to small bikes. Aermacchi released a limited number of racers for the North American market. Research suggests that 35 were built, and this is…unfortunately not one of those bikes. This is a replica that has all kinds of money thrown at it. Starting with the CRS, this bike was converted to a CRTT replica, which entails all kinds of goodies including ex-factory Oldani brakes. The seller sums it up as follows:

“In short, what we have here is a race-ready CRTT built from frame up without regard to cost, by an obsessive-compulsive, artistic Italian who is known for his motorcycle builds, and his custom racing bicycles.

There has been, literally, no expense spared in building this motorcycle.”
