This Hodaka Super Rat is one of the many dirt-oriented trailies Hodaka created in the 60s and 70s, making these bikes incredibly popular in the US.
The Hodaka Super Rat featured a 100cc engine – better suited for kids who weren’t big enough for the 250cc and larger bikes of the world. The signature red frame and chrome gas tank (both of which have been restored on this bike) helped distinguish the Hodaka’s from the competition.
This specific example has been completely restored, and it looks to be in beautiful shape. The tank is dent and rust free and has been freshly re-chromed. It’s also had plenty of performance restoration and upgrades, including a high-compression Webco head, high performance expansion chamber, and Circle F silencer.
