1975 Honda CB750F Super Sport Custom

In Cafe Racer, Custom, Japan by AbhiLeave a Comment

Honda’s CB750 was a game changer when it was first released, but by 1975 the bike had been overshadowed by the Kawasaki Z1. Honda responded with the F Super Sport alongside the K5 model. The F got a new gas tank, a rear disc brake, and a 4-into-1 exhaust. Other modifications improved horsepower and the chassis – Cycle magazine said “it handles better than any of the other Japanese superbikes.” This example takes the sportier CB750 and turns it into a cafe with an interesting sense of style. Do you like it?

For more on the original bike, check out this article on Motorcycle Classics, where they suggest it’s a ‘best bet’ on a classic Honda of the future. This example has been “completely rebuilt” with a top end rebuild 3,000 miles ago, a new brake system, custom bodywork in the front fairing and tail, and paint by Mike Learn. Other important modifications include new suspension, bearings, and electrical components like LED lights in the rear and a Citroen H4 headlight up front.

Find this CB750F SS for sale here on Craigslist for $5,000 in Lafayette, Colorado. (NOTE: soon after this was posted, the price on Craiglist was changed from $5,000 firm to $6,000.)
