4-24 Update: This Moto Morini 3 1/2 is back up for sale with bidding up to $3,550

Post Sale Update: After 19 bids on eBay, this Moto Morini 3 1/2 did not meet reserve at $3,200.

The Moto Morini 3 1/2 is one of those bikes that isn’t well known but has amassed a cult following that’s bigger than you’d expect. It’s not hard to see why, once you learn a bit about it.

Moto Morini 3 1-2 - Front

Despite being powered by a 344cc V-Twin, this bike cost just as much as a Honda CB750 – about $2,100. Weighing just 320 pounds, this bike was capable of the ton as the twin produced 39 horsepower. This bike was featured proprietary heads, but was better known for excellent handling. Cycle World probably said it best when they stated “For the lucky few, the Morini is worth what it costs.” These bikes were rare when new, and even more scarce now, but the original US importer is still in business if you need spare parts. Moto Morini 3 1-2 - Gauges

This specific Moto Morini 3 1/2 is in turn-key shape, and is in relatively original shape. The seller claims it comes with ‘factory fairing and lowers’, though none of us here at Bike-urious have ever seen fairings like this on a 3 1/2. There’s also an un-named aftermarket muffler, and the only flaw seems to be a poorly repaired red turn signal reflector. Not bad for 33 years of life.
