2-18-16 Update: Almost a year and a half later, this interesting hack is back up for sale. Now it’s in Playa del Rey with the same asking price ($4,500) here on Craigslist.
Originally built by Mike Braverman of Dual Sport Sidecars out of Sylmar, CA, this is a Honda CB750F with Sputnik Sidecar that the seller says will be the ‘coolest grocery getter in your neighborhood.’
Dual Sport Sidecars built this as a desert racer – it has run in the Adelanto Grand Prix, which I suspect is now defunct, as well as the wildly popular LA/Barstow/Vegas ride. The seller has taken it on the Continental Divide, and also also featured it at Horizons Unlimited rallies. The rig has apparently been since converted for a more sedate dual sport experience. The sidecar is a Sputnik unit, which are pretty much NLA now.
This specific hack obviously has the custom paint job, but it also comes with new battery, brakes, tires, charging/ignition system, chain, and sidecar passenger seat. Hopefully you’ll use it for something cooler than grocery runs!
