Post Listing Update: This CBX did not meet reserve with 29 bids up to $7,500.

When I recently featured a custom CBX, the general consensus was that the stock bike was much more appealing. Well, here’s a lovely stock example from a little bit later – by this point Honda had turned the CBX from a naked sportbike into a faired sport-tourer.

When Honda released the CBX, it was the fastest motorcycle of the time. It could dispatch the quarter mile in 11.36 seconds, crossing the line at 117.95 miles per hour. Top speed was about 140 miles per hour thanks to the 103 horsepower inline 6 engine. For more on the CBX, check out this article on Motorcycle Classics. This example (VIN: JH2SC0603CC401043) has just 4,725 miles on the odometer, and the cosmetics look great. The seller doesn’t include much in terms of detail, so you’ll have to rely a bit too much on the photos.
