1997 Yamaha TZM50R

It’s relatively easy to get your hands on a YSR50 in the US, but the two-stroke follow-up (called the TZM50R) is quite a rare find indeed. It represented a stronger attempt by Yamaha to counter the highly successful Honda NSR50 mini bike racer.

Basic specifications included 7 horsepower from the 49cc motor, a weight of just 170 pounds, and 12″ wheels. This example has 4,598 miles and it’s said to be in original condition with an aftermarket exhaust. There are some scratches, a crack in the front fender, and a tear in the seat, but the seller will include a new front fender that’s currently in transit from Japan. The seller claims that it runs like new and it’s titled for street use in Utah.
