The S1000RR sportbike was a revelation when it was first revealed, and it was an excellent platform for enthusiastic street riders and track racers. Here’s one that’s been focused on the latter – the seller has seen 178 miles per hour at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California – are you willing to try and top that?

According to the seller, “this is a turn key race bike that is setup very well.” When it was recently dyno’d while running VP U4 fuel, the motor put down 195 horsepower at the rear wheel. ABS and TBC have been removed but the selleddddr has the parts required to get traction control back if you so wish.

The list of modifications is significant, and that includes a Power Commander V, Woodcrafter case covers, Brembo master cylinder, Ohlins R&T forks and TTX rear shock, Kyle Racing swingarm pivots, Lees Cycle Linkage, 17″ OZ forged aluminum wheels, Akrapovic full titanium exhaust system, BMC race filter, Alpha Racing electronics, Woodcraft rear sets, and more. The seller has clearly put a lot of money into this racer ($16,257) and now it’s someone else’s turn to benefit.
