70, 80, or 90 – 3 Small Displacement Original Enduros

In Dual-Sport, Japan, Small Displacement by AbhiLeave a Comment

David N has pointed out to me that the seller of last week’s Rupp Black Widow replica has a few small displacement enduros that he’s getting rid of as well.

1. 1971 Honda SL70 – formally called the SL70 Motosport, this was introduced in 1970 to primarily compete against the Yamaha Mini Enduro 60. It features a 6 hp, 72cc four-stroke single. Nearly all of them were sold in the US. This example (VIN: 111300) is original and works well. The seller says it has patina “in all the right spots.” Find it here on Craigslist for $2,350.

2. 1974 Yamaha GT80 Enduro – 5 horsepower, 72cc two-stroke single. This example (VIN: 110329) is in good shape but the speedometer and lights do not work. The paint has aged well and the oil injection system still works. Find it here on Craigslist for $2,350.

3. 1972 Suzuki TC90 – Also known as the “Blazer”, Suzuki said this 90cc, two stroke single was “built to take on the country” thanks to a dual-range transmission for 8 total gears. This example (VIN: 087821) has recently been repainted and it comes with a luggage rack. Everything is said to work well and it’s street legal. Find it here on Craigslist for $2,500.

Which would you pick?
