We’ve featured a few Square Fours here (even one just a week ago), but the beautiful photos and restoration work make this example worth a second look.
The seller of this bike is annoyingly sparse on details, but it is clearly the same bike (VIN: XJ 716) that is listed on Canepa for $38,500. Canepa is based out of Scotts Valley, California, so this bike (listed in Miami) was recently purchased and is being resold or there’s something that needs to be investigated further.
AJ Lewis is a noted Ariel expert who accumulated the world’s largest inventory of Ariel parts over the years. He also used to run ArielMotorcycles.com. Per the seller, this bike was fully restored by AJ – anything original that was usable was refurbished and the rest came out of his collection of NOS parts.
