Capable Custom – BMW R100 Enduro

In Custom, Dual-Sport, Germany by AbhiLeave a Comment

Another day, another R100 custom built to take on the world. This example hasn’t just been well-modified, it’s well-traveled, too. It’s been to Alaska and completed the Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route. Where would you take it?

The seller says “this bike is not a show bike or garage queen” but it sure cleaned up nice for the photos. Highlights of the build include a reinforced OEM frame, custom subframe and upper shock mount with KTM plastics, KYB forks from a Yamaha YZ450F that have been rebuilt by RG3 out of Southern California, the final drive, swingarm, and rear shock from a BMW R1100, hardwired Garmin GPS, Baja Designs 8″ headlight, and more. Fully loaded up, it weighs 406 pounds.

Find this custom R100 for sale in Estes Park, Colorado for $8,000 here on ADVRider (registration required). For an additional $1,500, the seller will throw in a bunch of spare parts if you want to build a little brother to this bike:

1982 BMW R80 engine and frame
YZ450F front end and wheel
R1100 rear hub
R1100GS rear shock
Handlebars
R1100GS swingarm
Plus a box full of misc. BMW parts
