This custom 1999 Monster 750 is by far one of the coolest looking Ducati’s you can get for under $3,500. Although this one-off bike has undergone a major transformation with its more modern Scrambler meets Mad Max style, you can still clearly identify this two-wheeler’s Monster roots.

While the custom metal tank and leather seat (both made in Brooklyn) on this build are obvious, a handful of other cool mods were made that really add to this machine’s character. The custom (taped) single-pipe exhaust compliments the exposed mechanical workings and its black spoked-rims wrapped in knobby-rubber simply look awesome on this Ducati. The aftermarket clip-ons, shorty-levers and rearsets make this build a little more aggressive and the new windscreen, vertical license-plate holder and taillight round out the bike’s custom appearance. I can’t tell whether the headlight is stock but the housing for said headlight definitely is not.

The seller says the bike is suspended by aftermarket components but doesn’t specify what exactly, he does however include that this Monster doesn’t have any gauges or display meaning it’s ridden by feel which is how I assume most of us ride anyway. The clutch on this example was replaced seven-months ago and the current owner says it has new filters and battery but doesn’t specify exactly how new.

My favorite thing about this custom example is that it was clearly built to be ridden and enjoyed, not just garaged and looked at. It’s far from perfect but undeniably exudes a badass quality that would make for a fun daily ride. You can find this custom 1999 Ducati Monster 750 for sale here on Craigslist in NYC with a price of $3,300.
