Here’s Exhibit A in the counter-argument, a Triumph Speed Triple in a rare color that the English firm calls “Nuclear Red”. Doesn’t matter what it’s called, this is definitely pink – and it’s an interesting color choice on what’s become one of the best ‘hooligan bikes’ of all time.

2001 was a big refresh for the Speed Triple, which included tweaks to the engine, a new exhaust, and a restyled seat. These revisions meant the engine was good for 108 horsepower and 72 pound feet of torque, both of which were fed through a six-speed transmission.
