Post-Listing Update: This Ascot custom did not get any action at the BIN of $14,500.
I recently featured a Ascot custom, and frankly I thought I wouldn’t see another one for at least several months. This one’s going to the Handbuilt Show – what do you think of it?
This bike (VIN: JH2PC0704CM001071) was built over a two year period, and while the overall package doesn’t suit my personal aesthetic tastes, I appreciate some of the custom touches – like the vintage microphones that were used as housings for the lights. The gas tank and modified tail section are both Aermacchi units, and the latter contains a Cone Engineering muffler. Other highlights include Progressive shocks and springs, a chopped/detabbed frame, and the custom paint. Something to note, per the seller: “If you’re interested in this motorcycle, know that it is very compact. If your inseam is over 30″ or you’re over 180lbs you are going to be cramped.”
