In honor of Lee, one of our newest readers who’s been on the prowl for a Honda RC30, here’s an example of one of the world’s greatest homologation superbikes. Also known as the VFR750R, the RC30 was created so that Honda could race in the World Superbike Championship.

Honda RC30 - Front

The stats were impressive: the 748cc DOHC V-4 engine produced 76 horsepower, but included goodies like titanium connecting rods, gear driven camshafts, a slipper clutch, outstanding brakes, and a dry weight of just 400 pounds. Thanks to a very high gear ratio, this bike could hit 82 miles per hour in first gear!

Honda RC30 - Rear Fairing

This specific Honda RC30 (VIN: JH2RC3003LM2002) has an impressive 32,000 miles on the clock. It’s claimed to be all original, though there’s one flaw – a minor dent on the tank which the seller has not shown a good photo of. The seller also doesn’t have any feedback – not that it should be a deal braker, but you’ll want to investigate this one further before pulling the trigger.
