Post Listing Update: This CBR1000RR SP did not get any interest at the opening bid of $9,250.

In 2014, Honda released a limited production version of their CBR1000RR sportbike. It wasn’t a homologation special as production was relatively high at 5,000 models worldwide, but it was still an upgrade over the base bike with an exclusive paint scheme, additional power, more aggressive clipons and footpegs, Öhlins suspension, and Brembo brakes. What some riders lamented was that it still did not get traction control. Still, the SP concept was a hit, and Honda has kept the designation for special models since.

Of the 5,000, only a few hundred (I’ve seen some reviews state 500) made it to the US. For more on the CBR SP, check out this story on Sport Rider (RIP).

This example has 15,250 miles and it’s claimed to be in excellent condition. Extras include Shogun Motorsports frame sliders and rear spools, Yoshimura carbon fiber slipon exhaust, Puig smoked windshield, and more. All the original parts are included.

Or if you want something with low mileage, there’s also a CBR SP for sale in McLean, Virginia with just 558 miles. For some reason, the seller only uses stock photos, though, so I’d ask for some shots of the actual bike. Bidding is up to $7,800 and the reserve not yet met
