Post Sale Update: After 4 bids on eBay, this Matchless sold for $4,050.

Marketed as a bike with “slingshot acceleration”, the Matchless G15 MKII evolved from the poor effort that was the original G15. This bike featured a Norton Atlas engine and was arguably best when it was paired with a sidecar. For more information on the MKII G15 and why it was more of a tourer, check out this article on Real Classic.

This bike is being offered by the third owner, who says that it’s all original. After it sat for over 40 years, the seller rebuilt the magneto, installed a new set of Amal carbs, and then unfortunately suffered an injury that prevents him from kick starting the bike. It still needs a battery and the timing chain installed before it’s ready for the road. Someone bring it back!
