Needs Assembly – 1975 Harley-Davidson XR750

Despite the above picture, this legendary XR750 is currently disassembled and will need your love and care to come back to life. Are you up for the challenge?

This XR (VIN: 1C10039H5) is claimed to be an ex-factory racer that was sold to a privateer in Canada who raced it through the 80s. It was then sold to someone who turned it into a street tracker and then put it on static display. The current seller has disassembled the bike “in order to verify, document and photograph the authenticity of every single part of this motorcycle.” Now that’s done, but someone else will be putting the bike back together. Note that it’s not just a matter of fitting everything together like a puzzle – some rubber pieces are cracking and should be replaced, the throttle is broken and will need to be mended, and there’s a few minor modifications and aftermarket parts that will annoy purists.
