Just 272 were built. Thanks to a custom 4-into-2 Bimota exhaust, the engine put down 112 horsepower and the bike weighed 465 pounds wet – not bad even in today’s standards. Also known as the Mirage, this bike had Ceriani forks and a De Carbon shock hanging off the hand-built chromoly frame. At the time of its release, this was the only motorcycle that offered radial tires as standard equipment. According to this article in Cycle World, you could buy a new SB4 for $13,989 from Bimota West in the US.
