Back in 2007, someone in Kansas picked up a CJ750 on eBay and had it shipped from China. He went from never having been on a motorcycle before to having to put one together (the engine was out of the frame when he received it). He originally built it as a WWII replica bike, but over the course of this build thread he shows you how he turned it into a replica of the sidecar rig from Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade.
He knows that the real bike was a ’88 Dnepr, but I’d say it doesn’t really matter in this context. Here’s how it started:
