Post Sale Update: This V700 sold for $7,707 after 50 bids on eBay.

Thanks to a “full mechanical and cosmetic restoration”, this V700 is said to be in excellent overall condition with a few wear spots due to 2,500 miles of enjoyment since the work was done.

Moto Guzzi’s first V-Twin, the V700 was only sold in the US for a short time. MG though it would be suitable competition for Harley but it was soon replaced by the much more commercially successful Eldorado. This example is said to be “as stable as a house on the road”. The seller acquired it from a dealer mechanic who owned it for 25 years and restored it over the decades. As noted above, this restoration is no longer perfect. The motor was rebuilt with 850cc Nikasil-coated pistons, and this V700 is said to run well. It just received new plugs and the seller took it out for a “50 mile cruise” to make sure everything works.

What I find fascinating is that the seller admits he doesn’t know what it’s worth, so he’s just offering it with no reserve. Brave man. Find this V700 for sale in Portland, Oregon with bidding up to $3,350
