Step Into The Future? – 2015 Honda NM4

Introduced in 2014, the NM4 represents an attempt by Honda to expand their brand, piquing interest in the sport towards young consumers who may not have given motorcycles a second glance. It’s also another foray into the future to remind the world that Honda Motor Company remains an innovative design leader. Does it work? Well, despite the naysayers, the limited production model remains in Honda’s lineup for 2017, so the company must see some sort of return on its investment, though surely not a financial one.

The bike’s running gear is based on the 670cc twin-cylinder architecture of Honda’s CTX700 and NC700X, but with much-modified frame geometry. The DCT “automatic” transmission is an important ingredient of the concept along with techie instrumentation, low ride height and a smooth, ultra-cool urban attitude.
