Post Listing Update: This Laverda RGS did not get any interest at the BIN of $11,500 on eBay.
A true sport tourer, the Laverda RGS one of the last manifestations of the big triple, though it was much tamer than the beloved Jota unit thanks to different crankshaft timing and rubber engine mounts. Some felt that the engine lost a bit of character in the process, but it became a much easier bike to tour on – especially with the half fairing.
This example is claimed to be in excellent cosmetic condition, however it’s been in storage for the last quarter century so you’ll have to spend some time going through it before you get this beauty back on the road. Modifications from original are actually quite extensive and generally well thought out – Corsa high comp pistons, ported and polished head, Moto Witt ignition, Astro LIte wheels, Slater exhaust, 38mm Marzocchi front forks, Works rear shocks, and more. Many of the stock parts are included.
