Post Listing Update: Despite 28 bids up to $12,500, this Yamaha did not meet reserve.

Back in the days when motorcycle magazines actually had money to goof around with expensive projects, Cycle World partnered with Attack Performance to campaign a Yamaha YZF-750SP in two runnings of the Daytona 200 as well as a World Superbike race at Laguna Seca. It was on display at the Cycle World offices for some time and now it’s for sale!

The motor was prepped by Vance & Hines, but Richard Stanboli from Attack Performance further tuned it up to 140 horsepower. For more information, go straight to the source! Here’s a June 1995 article from Cycle World about this racer and Don Canet’s time riding it at Daytona.

This bike (VIN: 4HS-000187) is claimed to represent approximately $50,000 in parts and labor. 20% of the sale will be donated to the Nicky Hayden Memorial Foundation. Find this interesting Yamaha for sale in Carrington, North Dakota with bidding up to $10,800
