A small production company that was trying to create a limited run of Ducati-engined Norton hybrids is unfortuantely selling off their stock to someone who can hopefully keep things going. The main item is the featured bike, though there’s also an unfinished project, some stock Ducatis, and tools like welders, frame jigs, pipe benders, and more…including the UK trademark on the name “Norcati.”
I’m really just featuring this for the running bike but the seller says “this would make a superb manufacturing opportunity for a individual entrepreneur or to expand a existing business with the potential of completing the £100,000 + of existing stock, after you have sold the first two bikes you would have your investment back and on 100% profit from there on! This is a genuine bargain for someone as all the above listed is just £50,000.”
This bike is their Mk2 cafe racer design: “the engine was moved further forward in the frame which improved visuals and handling and a in house jig was built for Manx Norton style frames. The oil tank is a dummy, it houses the lithium battery, starter solenoid and a small isolator switch which is accessed through the Monza oil filler cap. Sadly due to ill health in the partnership we can not continue so the full project is for sale, and would love to see it go into production and would be happy to give as much help as possible to the new owner.”
The bike utilizes a 1100cc Ducati engine with less tahn 2k miles, the fuel injection was ditched for flat slide carbs and the seller notes that it will need some jetting/dyno tuning. Find this Norcati for sale in Barrow-in-Furness, United Kingdom for £50,000 here on Car and Classic.
