Bimota’s first BMW-powered motorcycle, the BB1 Supermono was also the first Bimota to be powered by a single-cylinder motor. In total, 524 were sold – 376 as the Supermono you see here in red/grey and another 148 Supermono Bipostos in dark blue.

The aluminum tube frame was paired with Paioli suspension, Brembo brakes (single disc up front with the option of a second disc), a couple of carbon fiber pieces, a fuel tank under the engine, and Marchesini wheels. The motor was pulled from the BMW F650 and it was good for 48 horsepower. Options included a €10,000 race kit with magnesium wheels, upgraded suspension, fuel injection, and more. Bimota competed with the Supermono and stretched out displacement to 725cc. Combined with some other tweaks, the race motor put out 75 horsepower!

This bike (VIN: 0226) has 2,184 miles and that’s pretty much all the information you’re given. The seller (a dealership) says that the condition is excellent. Find this BB1 for sale in North Kingstown, Rhode Island for $7,995 here at Razee Motorcycle Center.
