Post Listing Update: This Pierobon did not get any interest at the BIN of $110,000 on eBay.
Founded in Italy in 1952, Pierobon specializes in the design of top-notch frames, swingarms, subframes, fuel tanks, and other parts to increase strength, reduce weight, and make your bike faster – they have experience with Ducati’s WSBK and MotoGP teams going back decades. In addition to individual components, they also sell “race chassis kits” for Ducati motors. You can order the kit and slap your own motor in there, or you can buy a complete bike if you’re so inclined. Pierobon’s exclusive US distributor is Boulder Motor Sports, which explains the sticker you see on the fairings.
This example (VIN: ZDM1WABP46B001740) was originally built by Boulder Motor Sports in 2018 and was that year and the next at the AHRMA Pro Challenge at Barber Vintage by Tommy Bridewell and Scott Russell, respectively. It’s this first X85R frame that Pierobon built, and it’s paired with a 1199R motor, Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes, IMA thumb brake, Magneti Marelli electronics, OZ wheels, carbon fiber bodywork, HD camera system, Termignoni exhaust, and a whole bunch more. The sale also includes “limited spare parts.”
