Post Listing Update: This Paris-Dakar did not meet reserve despite 9 bids up to $5,555.

The BMW BMW R100GS-PD (PD stands for Paris-Dakar) is one of my favorite older dual-sports, even though I think BMW had a lot of trouble developing attractive paint schemes for it. The seller of this bike may have agreed, which is why this GS features a custom paint job.

BMW R100GS-PD - Front

The GS never was about speed – the 1000cc boxer yields just 60 horsepower, though the torque numbers were good. It’s heavy, but it’s reliable and easy to maintain. For more information about the bike (and an explanation of why this lumbering beast was so successful), head on over to Cifu Motorsports.

BMW R100GS-PD - Right Side

This specific BMW R100GS-PD features plenty of Touratech parts, including the dual headlight conversion, skid plate, hand guards, and quick release passenger pad. It also has Progressive fork springs, Ohlins rear shock, a FIAMM horn, and more.
