Post Sale Update: This NC35 sold for $5,150 after 30 bids on eBay.

The RC45 is a bike of legend, but it’s also out of the financial reach of most motorcycle enthusiasts. That’s why I’m excited to feature the RC45’s baby brother, the Honda RVF400 NC35. Only officially sold in Japan, grey market imports occasionally made it out the UK and rarely made it to the US. But the lucky few that own one get to enjoy one of the best 400cc sportbikes ever made.

Honda RVF400 NC35 - Front

The 399cc DOHC V4 engine is liquid-cooled and comes with gear driven cams and four 28mm carbs – apparently they sound fantastic. It produces a maximum of 59 horsepower, but you’ll need to be at 13,000 rpm to feel all those ponies. Honda RVF400 NC35 - Gauges

This specific Honda RVF400 (VIN: NC35-1004702) has over 25,000 miles, but it still looks quite clean. It comes with an aftermarket exhaust, custom painted rear cowl, custom foot pegs, and gold anodized wheels.
