Wild custom choppers like this aren’t usually my cup of tea, however this one stands out because it’s big…it was designed to fit Shaquille O’Neal – both his 7’3″ frame and his size 26 shoes!
The build process was shown in Motorcycle Mania 2, a show on the Discovery Channel in 2001. I found this video but the quality isn’t great:
Apparently, the story was that Jesse James agreed to build this bike if Shaq could bring a NBA Championship to Los Angeles. The big guy delivered, so Jesse did as well. The Lakers colors are obvious in the paint scheme, and those of you that know Shaq know he’s got a thing for the “Superman” S – hence their appearance in the billet wheels. The drivetrain is a S&S 113 cubic inch V-Twin paired with a Baker 6-speed transmission. The seller says the bike is in flawless condition, and it’s just been checked over by West Coast to make sure everything works.
