I’ve featured several Rickmans here on Bike-urious over the years and while I’ve seen Honda engines utilized in their street bikes, I had never seen one used in the off-roader Metisse…until now!
The seller is apparently relisting it as his description starts with “Right, let’s try this again without the dickheads.” He continues with “Lots to say about it, but nobody ever reads the description judging by the questions I get.” I’m guessing the first listing didn’t go so well. Regardless, he doesn’t actually give many details beyond saying it’s registered for the road, been raced, it’s fast, and it’s fairly loud (which I’m assuming is some typical British understatement). It utilizes a Rickman frame built by Wasp Motorcycles of Salisbury, Wiltshire and that’s pretty much all the info you’ll get until you bug the seller for more.
Who can identify what bike that Honda 500 engine comes out of?
