Post Listing Update: This TL-R did not meet reserve with 1 bid up to $3,500 on eBay in Vancouver, Washington.

Customized in the early 2000s, this TL-R was well-known in the TL community thanks to several unique mods and the distinctive Hot Wheels paintjob. It’s been with the current owner since 2004, and now is back on the market for someone that wants to travel back to the turn of the millenium.

This example (VIN: JS1VT52A7Y2102325) has been with the seller since 2004, at which point it had approximately 3,500 miles. It now shows about 47,550, “however this number is inaccurate due to the gearing.” Said gearing is said to now be fixed thanks to a speedo tuner, and the seller estimates that true mileage is around 32k. Unfortunately, there are some scratches on the left side of the tail due to a tipover where it fell off on the kickstand.

Highlights of the work include a single sided swingarm, Ohlins rear suspension (rebuilt in 2020), Devil slipon carbon fiber exhaust, Power Commander III, Galfer wave rotors, and obviously, the paint. The sale includes a Ben Bostrom replica helmet and a matching set of leathers.

For context, the seller has this bike up on Cycle Trader for $8,999 – but you can find it with an unmet opening bid of $3,500 here on eBay.
