MotoAmerica Introduces Heritage Cup

I was on the fence about returning to Laguna Seca for WSBK [EDIT: as Darcy Deltor reminded me, the US doesn’t have a WSBK round in 2020] this year, but this news might just be the tipping point – MotoAmerica has just announced the “Heritage Cup” for 2020 with events at Laguna Seca, Road America, and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It’s designed for “1986 and older Superbikes, as well as other racing motorcycles, two-stroke or four-stroke, GP or Production.”

The featured class is Vintage Superbike, where preference will be given to machines with a “racing pedigree.” There will also be an Open Exhibition category, as well. I’m excited to see what comes out!

Head on over to the MotoAmerica site for more info, including how you can register if you want to participate yourself!
