Post Sale Update: This KZ sold for $11,603 after 25 bids on eBay in Columbia, South Carolina.

The successor to the Z1, Kawasaki’s KZ900 was sold as a reliable big bike that could tour or go fast maybe even doing both at the same time! Here’s one that’s guaranteed to sell as it’s being offered with no reserve.

Basics on the Kawi included a dry weight of 511 pounds and 82 horsepower, which yielded a top speed of 120 miles per hour. Check out Motorcycle Classics if you want to learn more about the KZ900 and how successful it was as the “Son of the Z1”.

This example (VIN: Z1F116575) has 15,752 miles and the seller says that it runs perfect with “slight patina as you can see on the top of the tank.” Incorrect parts include the mirrors (period correct), hand grips (also period correct), and a missing airbox (though the filter is there)
