Post Listing Update: This SWM was pulled off of eBay due “to an error in the listing.”

Possibly the best name in motorcycling history is Speedy Working Motors – and they’re back, even in the US! One of their most popular models was the RS 250, which was available as the GS (enduro) or as the MC (motocross).

The 247cc motor is fed by a Bing carb…and annoyingly, that’s just about the limit of what I’ve been able to research about this MX version online. For more information on the enduro version of this bike, check out this write-up on Old Knobblies.

This example features a lot of work including a rebuilt motor, new ignition, new Lectron carb, new cables, new grips, and plenty more. The tank is NOS though it does have a little wear from being stored for decades. In the seller’s opinion, the tank needs a repaint for it to match the cosmetic quality of the rest of the motorcycle. Still, these are rare in any condition, let alone what you see in front of you. Per the seller, this “has been test started but not jetted.”
