Post Sale Update: This Husky sumo sold for the opening bid of $12,860.

If you want a race-spec supermoto bike from the factory right now, the only game in town is Husqvarna. Their FS 450 (based on the FC 450 motocrosser) is truly a factory racer – Husky doesn’t sell a street legal version. That’s one of the things that makes this specific example so interesting: it’s street legal and plated!

Whether you want to enjoy this on race tracks or public streets, the FS 450 is packing some staggering performance – 63 claimed horsepower from the 449cc thumper, 231 pound wet weight (minus fuel), Alpina tubeless wheels, composite subframe in the rear (30% carbon fiber), WP suspension front and rear, and a Suter slipper clutch.

This example (VIN: VBKUSR433JM317607) takes it one step further with a bevy of upgrades. These include $2,700 custom Alpina wheels – the stock units are black, these are black and yellow to better match the bike’s livery plus everything required to make it street legal (Baja Designs lights, Ducati brake light switch, signals, horn, CRG mirror, Akrapovic full exhaust, and a kickstand for convenience). There’s also a Husky fan kit, coolant recovery tank, Oberon clutch slave cylinder, and a few other goodies. I hope you’ve got plenty of self-discipline, because this could be one of the best hooligan bikes I’ve featured in a long, long time.
