“TT Special” – 1969 AJS 250 Stormer

Post Listing Update: This Stormer did not get any interest at the opening bid of $7,500.

The AJS Stormer was a bit of a flop, as it was a last ditch effort by Norton-Villiers to dump excess inventory of Starmaker engines. Because of that, I rarely see them come up for sale – let alone customized ones like this “TT Special”.

If you want to learn more about the stock Stormer, head on over to Motocross Action Magazine. The seller of this customized example says that it’s just been completed and has not yet been started, which is a bit of a bummer and means (at least in my cynical mind) that you should expect to budget for some troubleshooting.

Components of the work include Ceriani road forks, Sun rims, a custom exhaust, Bates pegs, and the beautiful candy apple red paint by Blake Conway. Find this Stormer for sale in Vista, California with an unmet opening bid of $7,500 here on eBay.
