As part of this week’s MotoGP festivities, yours truly is getting the chance to have dinner with Claudio Domenicali (Ducati’s Global CEO) and Jason Chinnock (Ducati’s North American CEO). I’ve got questions for them about the potential of the V4 motor in other platforms (Streetfighter), the end of their eight-year streak of increasing sales, and what the inevitable future of electric bikes means for the Italian company. As you can tell by my general lack of racing coverage outside of Austin, I’m not too invested in Ducati’s dominance of WorldSBK so far or even the mini aero scandal in MotoGP.
