Post Listing Update – This TSX was pulled off of eBay, final sale price unknown.

A last ditch effort from Triumph to boost sales of the Bonneville, the TSX was basically a T140 that had been restyled by Triumph’s American division. Just 371 were built, 200 of which were exported to the United States. About 1/3 of the production run was in Midnight Black, the rest were like this example – Gypsy Red.

Triumph TSX - Rear Right

The changes were relatively small, but there were plenty of them. The chassis was lowered, made possible thanks to a smaller rear wheel and an off-set engine. The TSX got a stepped seat, black finished engine, shortened painted mudguards, short megaphone exhausts, and stick on graphics, among many other unique features. Upgrades included double Brembo discs, and a kickstarter. The Triumph TSX was supposed to be sold for several more years, but production ended when Triumph went bankrupt in August of 1983.

This bike (VIN: SCGB75502CM031934) has 4,307 miles and is claimed to be in great condition, although there’s a chip in the paint of the right side of the tank and a small oil leak. It’s been in storage for years. The seller says it starts easy and runs well, though the electric starter doesn’t engage. Find this TSX for sale in Salem, Oregon with an unmet opening bid of $4,500
