Now here’s a rare bird – the Royal Enfield Cycar. Finding information on it has been tough, to say the least…but here’s what I’ve got:

Also known as the Model Z, the Cycar had a 148cc two-stroke engine and 3-speed transmission. Though not equipped on this example, the Model Z also had steel leg shields to protect the rider from the elements. Approximately 1,500 were built between ’31 and ’36. For more information, check out this post on the always wonderful Royal Enfields. Or head on over to Red Devil Motors for some pages out of a Cycar brochure.

This example is claimed to be possibly 1 of 8 in the world, and it’s in ‘unmolested, excellent condition.’ It was for sale in New York 3 years ago, but find this Royal Enfield Cycar now for sale near Midland, Texas for $6,500 here on Craigslist.
