1950 Moto Guzzi Astorino

In Italy, Standard by AbhiLeave a Comment

The Moto Guzzi Astorino is a rare find in its home country of Italy, let alone here in the US. A sibling of sorts to the better-known Airone, both bikes feature 250cc 4-stroke singles with the iconic “bacon slicer” external flywheel. The Astorino has a few small differences, including hydraulic rear shocks.

According to the seller, this example was originally sold to the city of Rome and used in their Postal Service for 15 years, when it was then retired and sold to the public. The seller has some documentation (hope you read Italian) as well as a 1984 Letter of Authenticity from Moto Guzzi.

The seller acquired the bike from an Italian friend, and he’s offering it with importation documents but no title. He/she claims that “this motorcycle is regularly ridden and serviced” and “it starts on the 1st kick…usually.”

Find this Astorino for sale here on Craigslist in Madison, Mississippi for $11,500 here on Craigslist.
