Post-Sale Update: This Gilera 106 sold for $3,500 after 59 bids on eBay.
The Gilera 106SS, or Speciale Strada, was sold through Sears Roebuck stores many decades ago. Good for a top speed of about 62 miles per hour, these little bikes are ideal as classic in-town runabouts but this one’s been converted into a lovely small displacement racer. It’s been recently tuned up and was intended to be put on the track this year, but for some reason the seller won’t be able to do so.
